DAY ONE!!!
yeah so we just woke up and we're waiting on my buddy john who has decided to make up french toast before we head over to the beach to start the trip.it was kinda nice to get a night of sleep without worrying about the trip ahead of us. we got a chance to stop in at a few surf and skate shops in the area, and settled of Wave Riding Vehicles down in Virginia Beach. not only were they excited to hear about the trip but they hooked josh up with a discount on new wheels and grip tape for his board. so thanks guys at WRV, you rock! other than that we rolled around downtown norfolk before going down to the beach, and snapped a few pics that'll be up soon (not many but a few). we'll let yall know about today sometime soon!

As of yesterday 2:30 pm, they were at the crossroads of Mt. Pleasant Rd and Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake, (20 miles) but I haven't heard anything since. (re: tel. call from Tristan to his mom)
ReplyDeleteAs of 2 pm Sunday, they were at Camden, NC just off the junctions of rts 343 and 158. They will be sending back the laptop (too heavy)and we will be sending a different backpack (for Josh, who apparently only has a school backpack as well as the fleece liner Tristan left (because of weight) to help him stay warmer at night. They had frost on the tent this morning. I expect this is how we will receive most updates and I don't know how to (or may not be able to with regards to rights) change the chart for mileage.
